For February and March I have a very special two part workshop. On Deanne's website she has a large one of a kind pattern called "Dog Days at the Beach". It is a great drawing of a woman at the beach walking her dog. I asked her if she would make some smaller kits that are similar but a bit different for a two part workshop for my class. Our patterns will be Deanne orginals. I asked her to make a few changes and can't wait to see the drawing. This is a great opportunity to have something very special. The kits will be about 2' x 3' and I have 5 ordered so the class will be limited to 5 participants. Email me to sign up. The deadline to sign up is January 7 and the deposit is $175.00 The cost will be around @275.00 plus $35.00 for each workshop. I am soooooo excited. Let me know if you want to participate. The pattern below is the one she has on her site, ours will be similar but not the same.

I will post our pattern as soon as Deanne draws it.

Beehive Rug Hooking

Yellow Wool

I have been hooking rugs for about 15 years. When I started hooking there were no teachers in this area. I had to learn on my own or drive six hours away for a lesson. After a few lessons from Laurice Heath I started hooking. When I wanted to learn how to dye wool I bought books and taught myself. I love to teach others because it was a struggle to learn by myself.

So Good to See You

A
fter awhile I found
Deanne Fitzpatrick's blog in Nova Scotia. She was, and still is, a great inspiration to me. My rug, "So Glad to See You" is one of her designs. When I hooked it, it reminded me of all my rug hooking friends.

I am so thankful for all the wonderful people I have met along the rug hooking path. I hope you will come to our Rose Path and hook with us. It is a great old art form and it will enrich your life.

Rug Hooking Beginning a ProjectEvery month I offer a beginners workshop on Friday and Saturday.

I will be at Rosepath all day on Thursday and Friday. I would love for anyone and everyone to come hook with me on Thursdays. We have plenty of room in the shop for everyone. Rockwells next door has great coffee and there are also several fun places to eat lunch nearby.

I will continue to do a seasonal and beginner's workshop each month.
